As part of the Book Abhinandan this poem was written by me towards felicitation to Mr. Venugopal The Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University.
In an era where technology is ruling over knowledge
There indeed was a need to transform the old collegeIt was to give students & faculty a useful learning edge
Was what Vice Chancellor Venugopal's novel pledge.
With the Bangalore University poised to split into three
New courses too were to become part of this learning tree
Saving careers & students lives due to Covid's spree
Venugopal & his team put all in place creating History
From his bundled achievements he did rise to a gracious fame
Battled unfavourable situations & those who tried to stain his name
With patience & passion, strife & clear vision he won each game
As an individual he entered & a wonderful personality he became.
These lines I've written to you with a deep sense of gratitude
As you've played a role in building us & our attitude
Help students to inculcate good values of greater magnitude
Perform our tasks educating students with humble servitude.
With a heartfelt thanks to you Venugopal Sir for your valued contribution in transforming Bangalore University & putting in on the futuristic pathway. Wishing you a great life ahead.
